Watch it again with the DVD commentary on - they provide commentary *in character* in a sort of retrospective re-watch of their documentary. It’s arguably as funny as the original movie, it’s hilarious.

It’s also underscores the importance of political leadership. US politics is defined by spineless politicians floating in the winds of social media opinion, rather than taking a clear stand and arguing for a just outcome. Leadership matters, it shifts opinion.

I liked the cast of characters but plot felt overly complicated with too many angles - Lex mastered multi-dimensional travel but wants half a third-world country? Was Superman in danger in the Shadow Universe “river”? And can’t forget there was also a Superman clone kicking around the whole time

What’s missing in the discourse from these guys - the ones that acknowledge having misgivings about what’s happening (Rogan, Schulz, etc) - is that all of this was promised by Trump, and politicians and pundits were sounding the alarm before the election. But they didn’t platform those views.

I’m in a different time zone this week and woke up to the online reaction. It seems crystal clear CMB was just surprised and emotional, there’s not even a hint of disappointment. We all need to be less online! I’m happy with the pick, he seems like a great kid.

In this case, the administration is seeking multiple outcomes. One of which is what you describe. Far more practical is the objective of establishing new judicial precedent that will potentially allow them to do this again elsewhere.

I agree with this take. The hard part is squaring what to do with Barnes, whom they correctly drafted. One might assume Barnes might not have fetched great value on the trade market, but surely they could have packaged him to Brooklyn and got Claxton + more back.
