My guess is that they had to give the Tampa dude 5 because it was obvious, but didn't think he meant to do it. So to offset they inflated McMann's call 🤷🏼♀️

It's designed to make you think you're in the minority, and that most people think like them. Courage of convictions and the ability to stand alone aren't common, and many would rather not stick out in a crowd...even though that crowd is just a vocal minority.

I've seen a bit of the far-right stuff...it does a good job of leading people up the garden path and I have no idea how to counter it. The truth doesn't seem to work. It co-opts literally every hobby and works its way in.

I think social media is the main source of that, and I can see a time in the not-too-distant future where people stop consuming it. The algorithms just push politics instead of their interests. I'm too cynical to believe in real improvement in my lifetime though.
