You could always try a mid-rise cut.

Like it’s not very useful to have a robot that can handle a 15 second task on its own and succeed 90% of the time. You need it to be able to handle a 30 minute task and succeed 99% of the time.

I’m not an expert on VLAs, but I’ve worked in robotics for 5 years. The problem is always in edge cases, and frequency of interventions needed. This demo is cool, but the robot didn’t start the washer, or get the basket from another room. As you expand the scope of the task the robot will fail.
