The proposed East Mayo Greenway is a part of the bigger Collooney to Athenry Greenway. Sligo Co Co are in the planning process, to build a Greenway from Collooney to Bellaghy in Charlestown. We want to see this Greenway continue on to Swinford & Kiltimagh.
Minister for Transport Eamon Ryan, replying to Dáil questions on Thursday last, 3rd March, reiterated that north of Claremorris is not viable for rail and should be used as a #Greenway #EastMayoGreenway. @radiomidwest @WesternPeople @thecontel @MayoCoCo @GalwayCoCo @sligococo
