Here is a pic of #MGEXFreedom I took right after I finished him. Took me about 6 or so days from start to fully assembled, did the panel lining on the main body yesterday, will still have to do the lining on the wings and then do the waterslide decals (new skill I'll have to learn 😖)

End of the day result! I looooove the wings, even though moving them around is tricky with soooo freaking many joints and movable parts, and that's just the arms the wings are attached to!

Wings were a little tricky and I'm now so glad I'm getting to try panel lining on these wings before I make the Ver.Ka version of the model. But they're soooo detailed and even this version looks so awesome! Really like how the lined version looks.

Ended the first day with the upper body finished and one and a half legs. I've gotten a lot more comfortable with panel lining now and I'm starting to get the hang of stickers. Looking forward making the wings!

Watching him come together bit by bit is so much fun. I love how small he is and he feels so sturdy! And allllll those moving parts! This almost every part of him has some way to open a panel or slide something aside to take a peek inside.

I've not made an MG kit yet (I've got two on my pile, but I want to do the small MGSD ones first).

Am I going for #WingZero first, or am I going for #Barbatos first? I picked up the SD versions because the regular MG versions of these are sold out everywhere. Plus, I suddenly had the inspiration to take them with me to an event next weekend as good luck charms. These chibi #Gundam are so cute! 🥰

Day 5: He's assembled!
Still need to do stickers and I only partially lined his legs yesterday (no lining on the backpack and weapon yet). Should be getting some other lining tools in today/tomorrow and this is a great test model (no ABS parts). #Gunpla #ForbiddenGundam #Gundam #Mecha

Body is fully assembled, had a bit of trouble with getting him to stand without wobble (he can stand, but hard to take pics of him that way, hence he's on his back on the mat). Probably mainly an issue with me not being used to how to pose Gunpla yet. #gunpla

Finished the legs and lower body section, one leg yesterday, rest this morning. One leg was being a little weird and feels stiffer than the other, but they both work fine. Detailing later today or another day.

Okay, did my panel lining. Pretty happy with how it came out. The face especially looks much better like this than before. I'll still have lots to learn, but I am quite happy with it for now. (I can always redo it once I get better at it if I want to)

Body went fine (apart from one confusing instruction about the waist), the head was trickier (so tiny!). The yellow V on the forehead just would not stay in place, I thought that maybe another piece was supposed to lock it, but nope. Ultimately worked out by wriggling it around more. #Gunpla

Plastic feels similar to Warhammer, so getting everything off the sprues and cleaning it off was easy. Instructions are a little more old school than modern Warhammer kits.
No complaints other than that so far, which feels like a good start for my very first #Gunpla
