What worked really well for our group was the narrative progression that grew organically from us, the players, along side the clues provided by the DM. The night moves where "It's worse than that..." had some hilariously awful outcomes that we just rolled with.

Public Access is such a great game. It was my introduction to the session 0 "lines and veils" and the periodic "Paint the Scene" mechanic. Both of which I intend to use in other ttrpgs, like Shadowdark.

I, too, gave significant tribute at the altar of the Costco gods for full-sized candy bars despite the increased prices. The one casualty is that they were out of the boxes containing Snickers. Alas.
