Temu's tagline "shop like a billionaire" is funny to me because yes, temu does in fact assist average people with causing more environmental damage than they'd usually be able to with financial constraints

I am sickened by the relentless demonisation of refugees.

No refugee underfunded a school.

No refugee closed a hospital.

No refugee took away support from the sick and disabled.

We need solutions not scapegoats. Stop blaming refugees and tax the rich instead!

My man: wakes up at 8, has a healthy breakfast and heads to Bath for the half marathon.

Me, providing balance to the universe: rolls out of bed hungover and eats cheese on toast in my pajamas with yesterday's makeup on

✨ Balance ✨

When a 200 year old quote from a poet used to mean something very different but the museum of Brighton finds it funny to make it into a very bright very gay neon sign

I'm trying to get ready for bed but the ADHD demon in my head is singing espresso in a male Yorkshire accent and it's really quite distracting

Labour last year: those with the broadest shoulders should bear the heaviest burden

Labour now: let's not do a wealth tax actually, a much better idea is revoking disabled people's benefits and just seeing how that goes

Make it make sense?

One man fights to defend his country on the front line for three years and then gets told he's not done enough by an orange narcissist who would have taken a helicopter to safety within 5 minutes

Me earlier this week: I hope Lucy letby never gets out of jail, let me look into why her conviction is being disputed

Me after a 5 hour deep dive: get this completely innocent woman out of jail now

Turns out commenting that you want the 2032 asteroid to "hit India please" to "wipe out all those rats" does not mean you get suspended from TikTok after being reported. How encouraging 🥴

As Trump and Musk gleefully smash the institutions of government, they simultaneously rush us towards the Earth systems horizon.
You think this is a dangerous moment? It is. But add escalating climate breakdown to your calculations and multiply by ten.

Donald Trump just announced that the United States will be “taking over” Gaza and will “level” it to the ground.

He said Palestinians should not live there anymore.

This is GENOCIDE!!!!

Musk using very young men in DOGE is terrifying because in historical genocides young men are the ones tasked with doing the worst of the torture, killing and abuse. They are the most violent, compliant and easily manipulated demographic. This is another serious red flag we should be aware of

My opinion on Elon has gone from finding him vaguely weird and cringe and immoral to feeling assured that he's the most evil man in the world and this change took 6 months

There is no way Starmer can justify this without looking thoughtless and greedy at best and utterly corrupt at worst
Keir Starmer scrapped Angela Rayner's plans to close the loophole allowing foreign billionaires like Elon Musk to bankroll UK political parties, following an intervention by a major Labour donor www.thetimes.com/article/3bb4...
Labour dropped plan to ban foreign donors after Lord Alli intervened
The party’s fundraising chief, is said to have scuppered the proposal, due to have been announced while it was in opposition

When I'm sad I like to close my eyes and picture each of my friends and family members laughing the hardest laugh I've ever seen them do. I picture their version of silent, teary, falling on the floor, wide mouthed laughter

It's like an IV of sunshine

So now we have it. Rachel Reeves's claim that a third runway at Heathrow Airport would boost economic growth comes from a report commissioned by .... Heathrow Airport. Instead of acting in the national interest, she's channelling corporate lobbyists.

Just got back from the Vietnam war museum in ho chi minh and there was an exhibition showing photos from almost every single country in the world protesting against America's involvement in Vietnam. Why is it always just America that thinks America is doing the right thing?
