Japanese Maple in mom’s backyard. Based on its age (approx 150 years) it must be one of earliest planted along the East Coast -introduced in mid to late 1800’s to nursery in northern NJ (based on limited research ). There are many offspring in surrounding neighborhoods. #thicktrunktuesday
