Had another short political discussion with my dad. He talked about Elon being upset over the Big Beautiful Bill. He said the Democrats added so much “pork” to it. I told him the Dems didn’t have anything to do with the Bill. I guess Faux news told him differently

In case you are in your own progressive bubble, Trump’s only losing issue right now is the economy. Human rights, gutting Gov agencies, illegal deportations etc are all winning with his supporters.

I’ve spent the better part of 9 years wondering how the religion that I grew up in forsook the Jesus that I was taught to believe in and have embraced instead the exact opposite of what they preached. I now realize that I have idealized the past and that the church never changed. It was me.

Had a very disturbing chat with my dad today. He said he was not aware of ever seeing any violence on film during Jan 6th Insurrection. He said the protesters were “let in”. It’s crazy that we are really living in two different realities based on the news stations we watch.
