Wow. Square this with the $6.37/h the average Uber driver gets paid by that company in Toronto.

If Uber cannot afford to pay its drivers minimum wage, there is no socially necessary reason to keep that company around.
That simple.
Ban it.
Have someone else step in to provide that service and pay at least minimum wage.
