The Earley Lab at Arizona State University delves into molecular quantum dynamics, focusing on spin chemistry for quantum applications, optically detected magnetic resonance, dual-comb spectroscopy, synthetic qubits, and quantum sensing. www.EarleyLab.com
It starts with a question...

In the 1950s, scientists explored magnetism out of curiosity. Decades later, this led to MRI technology, now a vital medical tool. Funded by public research, it shows how basic science creates life changing breakthroughs. Supporting curiosity drives innovation.

2025 is the UN International Year of Quantum Science and Technology. While this primarily celebrates 100 years since Werner Heisenberg’s description of quantum mechanics, for chemists it also marks the centenary of Wolfgang Pauli’s exclusion principle.

This is so cool. I wonder if we can do signs like this for inorganic and solid state chemistry too. There’s no reason we can’t use signs for mirror planes, screw axes, or inversion centers to make them easier for hard-of-hearing people to understand.
