I seem to remember a big push in Texas by Texans to leave the union back in the 80s. At the time it was to join OPEC though. But I had been thinking about the fact that Texas was part of Mexico twice as long as it's been part of the US. Kinda like how Russia wants to reclaim Ukraine or Alaska...

I hate Texas - as in horrible policies, racism, backwards policies coming from the severely (and even more so now) gerrymandered government which cannot possibly represent many of the people...never said I hated TEXANS.

I used to live in Texas-three different cities in fact so...let me rephrase that... I HATE what Texas has become. What the Texas state government has done to their state. Please vote out that horrid governor.

This is the thing...for decades, the "Red Scare" the fear of socialism or communism...the part that people are afraid of, government takeover of means of production, authoritarian rule, police state are all things that Trump is doing. The radical socialist Dems just wanted to make life more fair.

The outrageous HUBRIS of the Israeli government to do this. I guess they think they can just bomb the entire Middle East into the Stone Age to keep themselves "safe" rather than even try to come up with some kind of acceptable agreement. Or iss this just Netanyahu's latest ploy to stay out of jail?
