- Not using a company Zoom account
- URL given was different from a direct company search
- Equipment process is inefficient and is incongruous with/ industry standards.

This is the fraud part of the scam. The "company" sends a fraudulent check and PO (or worse, expects that banking information be provided for a direct deposit or wire transfer), so that when the money is withdrawn (often before the check itself clears) the "employee" is stuck holding the bag.

Heads up - new remote job scam. The guy claims he's representing Enova International but is using a personal Zoom account and wants me to accept a check to order equipment from a 3rd party vendor.

The URL he gives is not the URL that Google lists. I have not spoken to anyone else at the company. 🧵
