Our paper on PSO J318 is finally out 💪 . I want to thank all of my coauthors who made this study possible 🙇 !! It could be that we see the first cloud seeding nuclei forming at the top of the atmosphere…?

Just shared a new paper on the arXiv, led my @luiswel.bsky.social and me, on the challenges associated with detecting gases in exoplanet atmospheres. As the field pushes towards new and exciting opportunities, we thought it was time to talk about what it really means to “detect” something!

Do you want to do cutting-edge exoplanet science with JWST in a Bavarian castle?

If yes (and why would you say no???) there are still a few spots open for the Ringberg Workshop "Signal in the Noise" (Nov 17 - 21). Register here sites.google.com/view/jwst-ri...

I was 18 when I first went and IAYC had a huge impact on my life. Meeting people working towards their PhDs was eye-opening for a 1st-gen university student! I would've never gone on to study for a PhD without IAYC! 🪐 (or met my partner 🥰)
Applications are open for this year's International Astronomical Youth Camp (IAYC) - a three-week long summer camp for young people aged 16 to 24 from all over the world - taking place 4-24 August 2024 in Germany!
Application deadline: 17 March 🔭
