I’ll definitely look into both of those! I read the final chapter from MM recently just due to the title and I really liked Bordwell’s concept of Historical Poetics. I quickly looked over his blog and he has some posts continuing that line of thinking but haven’t had a chance to really read those.

My parents bought it for me on when it first came out and idk if they even knew I liked the book. I miss surprise treats like this.
