Housing discourse is full of people saying they can’t afford kids because they can’t afford a bedroom per kid. But that’s an insane requirement. Most of humanity doesn’t have that. Your grandparents probably didn’t have that.

I spend a lot more time in Somerville and Cambridge than Boston but I can’t help but think that we’re winning. A whole generation is growing up with bikes normalized as transportation.

What’s weird to me about the pilot is that it’s evaluating whether a standalone bike logistics company can be sustainable. But… we don’t do that for local car deliveries either. It’s all either gig workers bearing their own costs or done in-house by the business.
