Five patients have been successfully treated for #sleepingsickness using a new all-oral drug, Fexinidazole Winthrop after successful clinical trials by @dndi.org

About 50% of people with #leishmaniasis are children. Our goal at @dndi.org is to continue implementing safer, shorter treatments with existing drugs while advancing the development of all-new treatments for affected communities.

Breastfeeding women are routinely excluded from #clinicaltrials, yet over half will need medication while lactating.

In #NTD -endemic areas, breastfeeding is often the only safe option. It's time we include them in research.

171 trees planted, 400 tree seedlings to be planted during the week & collected >2000 plastic bottles for recycling by a licensed recycler. #EarthDay #EarthWeek
