My little goldfish vase. It took a while to paint this, so it’s not something I do a lot, but I got some new underglazes back in the summer and I wanted to try them out.

I find this shape technically challenging and this is the best bowl I’ve managed to throw outside of pottery lessons. Therefore, I was in two minds whether I should add the curves but decided to take the risk. Thankfully it turned out as I hoped. Next challenge is glazing it #pottery #ceramics #art

I’ve decided to make a chess set for the first time. It’s wildlife themed (of course), but it’s actually quite hard deciding which animal fits which chess piece. Apart from the queen, which can only be a badger. All hail Queen Badger! 🦡👑#chess #ceramics #ceramicart #badger #art

I was very lucky this morning to capture on video one of the juvenile pots venturing out into the art studio for the first time. As you can see It’s still a bit skittish and has a lot of growing up to do before it can join the other pots on display. #pottery #art #ceramics #ceramicart

Step 1, throw pot. Step 2, turn pot. Step 3, burnish pot. Step 4, apply terra sigillata. Step 5, put your thumb through pot on the way to the kiln. Step 6, put in reclaim bucket #pottery #ceramics #heartbroken
