The results were amazing! These talented students created their own games, and we were thrilled to showcase a beta version of their work at Nerd Night here at UA Little Rock where the campus community got to play what they built.

Through our collaboration with LRSD, students had the opportunity to take our Unity game development course. We guided them through Unity fundamentals, project management with Git, and 2D game design—giving them hands-on experience with industry-standard tools.

Dr. Basu was the only researcher from Arkansas featured in this historic project, which will be preserved in the Library of Congress for future generations. His work in biomedical visualization and human-computer interaction is now part of American history.

Our geology team explored 3D terrain models and manipulated geological layers in an immersive, room-sized virtual environment. Projectors illuminate three walls and the floor, allowing multiple users to simultaneously examine data from different perspectives.

The experience fosters a deeper understanding of the relationships between layers in an imaginary oil field, and by interacting with holographic overlays, users can instantly visualize data like soil composition, vegetation density, and potential flood risks.
