Honestly, I love Indian food and love to cook it at home. But I have neither the time nor the spice rack to cook everything from scratch. There are a number of good sauces and pastes to let me indulge. At a certain point, you just enjoy the results without stressing about the "process".

A bag? Amateur.... I have 3 large flip-style sets, a small box of individual size ones, plus a half a drawer of random assembly ones I've collected over the decades. Every once in a while I discover a new one lurking in a drawer somewhere. I think gremlins sneak them in at night

I once made an incredible white bean and chicken chili (with green chiles of course). My daughter and I loved it. Sadly, I have no idea how I made it, I just panic grabbed stuff and cooked. 🙄

And a place I go to twice a year has a sausage mcmuffin with egg for $4.69, or two for $4.50. So I take the 19 cents and offer the second one to someone else. I am always baffled by their pricing.

I've never wrapped meat in cheesecloth to dry age it. Does it help? I just put it on a plate and cover with a colander ir equivalent.

I keep a photo album on my phone that has screenshot of ideas, photos of books I saw somewhere, etc. Current count: 109 😬 That does not include the 65 actual books on my TBR shelves. Or the 3 books I'm gifting my wife that i intend to read after she's done. I really have to get busy.

We used to do Thanksgiving at a friend's house: 25 or so people. She found a catering company that rented dishes. Plates, bowls, cutlery, glasses, serving utensils, everything. After dinner, it all went into a large box outside and they picked it all up...

We actually just voted to go get Chinese food tonight, although it's not a buffet.

I'm left wondering why you need a recipe for "chilled concord grapes"? I'm thinking take some grapes and chill them?

I grew up watching 60 minutes and was always amazed by how much I learned and how well they talked about everything.

This year, I learned that 60 Minutes ( and CBS as a whole) is completely worthless and can never be trusted again. Half a century of credibility flushed in a month 🤢

Someone tell me they used PDFs and just wrote blackout highlighter over the text so it can still be read... that's the level of amateur we're seeing here.
