I get bah humbuggy every 14th March (American Pie Day) and am campaigning for moving it to 1st of May the true way to get 314 in the right order in a date. Alternatively we could try 3rd of February. Maybe, it’s down to its irrationality that pi cannot be written as a date in ‘normal’ format.

I think this really depends on how well you r students can read. I have heard it claimed that the Edexcel Statistics has the highest reading level requirement of any GCSE.

A couple of weeks ago my y8s were trying to work out 0^0. After looking at Desmond y=x^x. They voted on 1 with an appropriate number of troubled dissenters.
