Not sure what the nhs process is like. I would think it's roughly the same. The NHS probably just takes a lot longer.

I got mine privately (through work). It's not that bad a process. There's some questionnaires to fill out at the start, for you and ideally a parent or relative who knew you as a kid. After that it's just a meeting that lasts about an hour. Was actually a lot easier than I thought
