I was working on art and it kept weirding me out that I knew how to fix my errors as I went along. I'm so used to being dissatisfied with my ability, that I couldn't understand how my piece was gradually improving rather than staying awful forever.

It's kinda fucked up how effective eating right and sleeping enough are for feeling better. Being reckless is so freeing in the moment, but then your body collects the bill the morning after.

One of the times I was relearning how to draw my instructor told me that trying to draw flat on a desk led to a sore neck mild distortion. Taught me to use an easel but I never owned one, so after his course I stopped. Decided to buy something like an easel at Michael's for $15

For as much of a spectacle Godzilla movies are, I feel like the underlying themes of coming together during times of struggle is the more valuable aspect of those movies. I like seeing kaiju fight each other as much as the next guy, but seeing people cooperating with one another is more satisfying.
