I give Japanese lessons almost every day (well, almost every day, haha), and of course, they’re free☆☆
You don’t have to follow me, but please feel free to check them out!

Happy New Year☆ Please continue to support me this year as well☆☆
...So busy! But I have to keep doing my Japanese lessons! (By the way, tomorrow will be even busier☆)
In Japan, when the New Year begins, we eat a dish called 'OSechi' (I'll include a Wikipedia link to make it easier to understand!)

Even if 'Kutsu' turns into 'Kuchu,' it’s fine—just practice. Then, teach 'Kutsu' to the people around you.💯💯👍
Starting today, you and everyone around you are Japanese!!👢🥿

Although I don’t really want to mention it, it’s the same 'Tsu' as in 'Tsunami.'

Small children often pronounce 'Kutsu' as 'Kuchu.' You might do the same at first, but that’s okay! No one gets it perfect from the start.👍👍

Today is busy, but tomorrow is going to be even busier than today... (lol)
Let’s start today’s Japanese lesson!
When you go out, you put on shoes. In Japanese, shoes are called 'Kutsu.' The 'Tsu' part might be a little tricky to pronounce at first.👞🩰👟

We had a BBQ and drank too much.😄

The BBQ looked something like this.

In Mississippi, USA and now Texas, USA, (and most of the Southern US), blackeyed peas cooked slowly with the leftover Christmas hambone and any leftover ham for luck in the New Year and some kind of greens for fortune in the New Year. Happiest of New Years to all!

By the way, tomorrow I'll be eating Osechi at my relatives' house☆ At their house, they'll also serve luxurious sushi~! (lol)

What kinds of food or drinks do people have for New Year’s in your country or region? Please share with me!😉
From today, you’re Japanese too!💯

After drinking 'Otoso,' we enjoy 'Osechi' together.
en.wikipedia.org/wiki/Toso

Oh, I see 'Toso' is written on Wikipedia. What I call 'Otoso' refers to 'Toso.'
When you say 'Toso' more politely, it becomes 'Otoso'😀

But before eating 'Osechi,' we drink something called 'Otoso,' starting with the youngest child in the family.🍶
This isn’t beer or whiskey, but rather a kind of sake with a medicinal meaning. I still find it a bit bitter and don’t like it, but my uncles and aunts say it tastes great! ,

For example, the 'Osechi' dishes mentioned in the Wikipedia article, like Datemaki, Kamaboko, Kuromame, Kazunoko, and so on.
All of them are foods that just looking at makes you think, 'Ah, it’s New Year’s!

A video as proof that feelings can get through (laughs
youtu.be/serhhtlfHaU?...
This is a Japanese celebrity who barely speaks English, but is trying so hard to use it. It’s funny, sure, but he’s serious about it! You might end up laughing, but what really matters is the feeling!
With subtitles too☆

if you're talking about serious topics like the earth or space, you won't say 'ass,' right? So people will go, 'Ah, I see, pronunciation is difficult for Japanese people.'
It’s all good! You can get by with your feelings. Really!🤗
December 31, 2024 at 2:49 AM
Don't worry about pronunciation! For Japanese people, even the difference between 'earth' and 'ass' can be tricky at first (laughs).
But,

It's the same with Japanese. Even if grammar is difficult, if you just put words together, that's fine. Even if you make mistakes, in the end, the meaning will come through through your feelings!!
December 31, 2024 at 2:42 AM
If someone who barely knows English points upwards and says 'I'm Go! earth!' when they want to say 'I want to go to space!', people might laugh.
But you'll still understand, 'Oh, this person wants to go to space, right?'

Just wait a moment, I’m going to eat something (I haven’t even had breakfast yet, been busy)
Well, I’ll be having lunch in about an hour, so I don’t really need to eat now, haha.

I feel like my explanation was unclear… My dream is to become a Japanese language school teacher or a politician, though….😭
