It IS absolutely time to discuss OPENLY MAGA's espousal and practice of violent discourse, violence, racism, misogyny and hate. Because if we can't talk about it, we sure as heck can't fight it.

But the birth rate is falling even in rich nations with a wealth of social programs and even universal income. I think falling birthrate exists because we no longer need as many children to ensure we're taken care of in our old age. That was the major reason for big families in the past.

I want progressives to be better than the crude and violent MAGA crowd. Let's call for the rule of law. Let's call for decency, honesty and a modicum of decorum. Let's not call for the murder of elected officials. (That's the MAGA way.)

I honestly can't imagine that an anti-trump Democratic governor from California -- a state the country loves to hate -- can possibly win the presidential election in these MAGA-infested days of the Un-United States...

For a year now, a friend has been trying to get a new fridge on an extended warranty she bought. Neither works! The warranty is owned by some hedge fund you can't "serve" with a lawsuit, and the fridge is from Sears. 'Nuff said. The fridge, BTW, is all of 4 years old.

Count me as one who bailed on HBO. I paid HBO so I could escape cable TV's mostly rubbish programming. There is no way today's HBO would have My Brilliant Friend, Somebody Somewhere or even the one thrilling season of I May Destroy You. Until HBO regains its programming mojo, I won't be watching.
