I’m just not seeing it Erica. ¯\_(ツ)_/¯
-Stems from a story circulating in political circles?
-A statement is mentioned, not included, the statement I did read announcing the leaves certainly didn’t make the claims you’ve made.
-“I can’t speak to the claims made”
-“according to sources”

Your experience is your own, and again personal attacks are not acceptable but WHAT IF there comes a time where a person is completely at peace with their value, no matter their external values of age or appearance, why would you insist in that being a universal barometer, just like these ethics?

I think it’s fair for the concerned Seattle public to wonder why you are punching down so cynically on this issue. Many are not seeing eye to eye with you on this; we consider inexperience and interpersonal complexity and you are citing absolute ethical right and, hardened lessons through jadedness?

Erica you don’t deserve personal attacks, but this statement is self pitying and highly defensive.

You reported, said that the investigation would substantiate the reporting, as publicly available it currently does not. You say wait til Monday, I guess we will?

Yeah I dunno this has happened yet largely? Seems like there’s a lot of Millenial-downward solidarity. Feels like empathy rarely flows downward but millennials understand why Zoomers are so distressed.

Noted, had read the article but did not catch how the initial information was supplied.

Well, I’m interested in how the investigation goes.

of their ethical obligations when it comes to “reporting on” interpersonal gossip. Especially when that talk is about a boss, friend, and ostensibly likable person.
Given the wide berth we give other’s personal affairs, I’d find it hard to proceed on this “report” shy of being a primary witness.

Admit. my journ. career ended mid undergrad but all I mean to say is that I DO acknowledge there is more to the reporting job than typing up what others say, I appreciate that some do it, and I empathize with the position of two young, femme staffers perhaps not actively considering the full scope

Never admit, are really gonna go through it for this and this is (seemingly) a very human mistake. I empathize.

While certainly important I think that it’s pretty common for employees to not hold the full scope of their employee handbooks, union contracts, or professional code of conducts in mind in all things. I’m saddened that H&A- who really are good journalists in a way that Seattle Sensibility will

Perhaps this is the crux of the issue- that understanding the severity of this has more to do with familiarity with internal ethics than common sense. I agree that most reading this would assume that in H & A’s case- typically the personal life of a superior would be hearsay unless witnessed.

-just kidding. I love your posts.

Ever since that Seinfeld episode about the suede jacket I’ve known people don’t want to walk in nice clothing! If you get people dressed up and then push the walking, they’ll just have to flee the cities.

How’s the new facade? I left the city just when they had to shut down in August to due some renno. It was quite a scene on the final week.

It’s been too long.
