Photograph looking out between two towering rock stacks at the sea. It appears I am in a cave but I wasn't. Light hits the bottom of the rock stacks on the right while those on the left are in dark shadow. The gap between the rocks is not straight but curves out like a big tummy in parallel, leaving a glimpse of the sea. Sky is blue and sea is a calm blue-grey.

On the top of a yellowed, grass covered hill sits a small weatherboard cottage (typical c. 1900 cottage, with a central door and a window either side, and a skillion room at the back). In front of the cottage are two trees, curved by the wind. Theit trunks are bare but have branches at the top are left. Both are leaning strongly to the left.

Another Wellington stunner, another Zealandia trip. #photography #birds
Tūī friend in a window between the leaves; gleaming against a blue sky. kaakaa friend, reds and oranges in its plumage particularly prominent, snacking on something in its claw. View of Wellington harbour up near the perimeter fence, sea fog visible on the right, brilliantly blue sky everywhere else. Tieke avidly picking through the undergrowth for bugs. Obviously well known to Zealandia staff; 2 coloured bands on each leg.
