Pablo didn’t go to UNC for his info. And the fact that BB’s folks are sounding the alarms so loudly as to give direct quotes says all we need to know about the state of things. UNC’s going to have to deal with it either way, and it only adds to the really stupid palace intrigue that is spiraling.

18 games, yes. I reject that natural rivals only play once. You want events? What kind of event is UNC or NC State or Duke v Cal/BC/Stanford/Pitt? Nothing says you gotta play each team once if you can just change the schedule. Of course, you gotta have better teams for folks to actually watch.
