I mean I also understand that mindset honestly when you see the rather sad state of affairs with other games of theirs. The difference here is that Mario Kart is huge and has much more appeal that it will stay alive for years to come regardless.

It sucks right now but the game is still only just fresh out of the gates. Give it time, I'm sure they'll fix things. Mario Kart is one of their big guns, they don't want to mess that up.
