I thought it could've been due to the eng VO case! I play in jp so it doesn't really influence my experience, but from what I know it's yes, hoyo's fault for not protecting the VAs, but the problem comes from the company they rely on for eng dub, unfortunately.. Idk about recent updates in merit tho
