Pro tip: if your favorite part of spinning records is troubleshooting random hums, delicate components, and expensive consumables I highly recommend you add a tube amp to your setup. It’ll work wonders for you.

The compression used on this is basically its own instrument at this level. If any CD was going to win the loudness war it could only be Lou and Metallica.

That reissue is more than likely digitally sourced. I recommend a tan label Dynaflex pressing if you want to hear that record in analog.
