Also, if you don't think we've been committing atrocities to our own people as a nation since its inception well into the current day... You're just incorrect.

People have been taught to accept "normalcy" rather than question the status quo.

It's almost like the world has seen this pattern before, not all that long ago in the scheme of things...

A little self-awareness and some history classes go a long way.... you know, throw in some compassion and sense of community too we might get somewhere.

They're allowed to take only a knapsack and a little cash with them, and even then, they're robbed of these possessions on the way. Families are torn apart; men, women, and children are separated. Children come home from school to find their parents have disappeared. Women return from shopping to find their houses sealed, their families gone. Person 2's comment: Yes. It’s a consequence of uncontrolled borders. It's to be expected. Grow a backbone; it's what we voted for. Sometimes with democracy, you have to lose and suck it up. A state has to control its borders. Person 1's reply: Buddy, that's a quote from Anne Frank describing the Nazis. Now what does that say about you and your party that you could not tell the difference?

Just started college this past week after having rotator cuff surgery the week before. Let me tell ya... watching the US catch on fire (somewhat literally) in the same time frame.This shit is damn discouraging.
I mean, school is hard, plus the pain, but then in a couple months will it even matter?
