Well... I missed the "i" in making my account, oh well...
Is the water ankle or knee deep? Sure, it's still enough water to disable a cybertruck... but not quite the statement they are intending to make.

Good for you, glad you can afford to make the change.

I think anyone that can invest in changing their vehicle, should seriously consider getting rid of their Tesla. But I don't think people should be demonizing people that currently own them.

BONK!
I know, I'm an artist...

I support Ro Khanna as my representative. But god... that is some awful AI slop.

But my father has a cousin he was very close to, and I loved the woman, too. During the previous Trump admin, I found out her husband was a full blown nut job. Now they both pretty much stopped talking to me. Might see them at a funeral soon, unfortunately...

Just the few trolls that try to come in and... insult people into... changing their minds?

Usually seem like new accounts with not many posts, they probably get bored after a day and move on.

Well said. I just started listening to the audiobook and a lot sounded familiar! The emperor might not be a dictator yet, but people are falling in line in case he becomes one. (Very very loosely paraphrased, which I could remember the whole quote. But there were plenty of lines echoing reality)

But it sounds good to his folllowers v.v
For people that whine about not caring about other peoples feelings, they sure do care more about their feelings than facts...

If margins close, at least it sends a message. It might not make change happen as fast as we like, but if it encourages people to see that their vote may actually count, even in stronghold districts, they maybe more likely to vote next time.

R/Conservative, too. But a few comments down you get some people saying "It's the art of the, deal. Show the middle east what will happen if they don't fix it, so that the Saudis and others will fix it themselves". With a reply saying "God, I hope so"

Thank you for quantifying "the ones getting paid a lot" should stop working for him.

I don't work for Tesla, but too many people saying that anyone working for him are also Nazis, as if getting a job (or changing cars) is just an easy thing to do, and not potential homelessness in our society.
February 19, 2025 at 3:51 PM
And immediately under this comment thread, I see someone commenting on "I need to feed my family" is the new Nazi supporter.
This is what drives people away. Lack of sympathy and knee jerk reactions.
February 19, 2025 at 3:49 PM
That's what I think every time I see someone say "So get a new car!"
Ya know, maybe I would change my car of my job if it was that simple. But I have a family that unfortunately need short term needs met, even if long term political needs are fucking us.
That's the whole fucking scam.
February 19, 2025 at 3:47 PM
I stuggled with the choice to get a Tesla or not in 2022. It was already becoming clear he was a fair bit of an asshole (not complete Nazi yet), but at the time, the price was good and inventory was empty for other cars.
We don't do anything that gives money to him now (no Tesla stations, etc.)

Daycares have a great way of making the meals sound better. My wife works at the one my daughter goes to. A "Burrito" is just a piece of flat bread with various toppings on it.
A "pizza" is a piece of flat bread with some cheese and maybe a meat on it.

Gonna check this out while doing dishes tonight. I love the Alphabet Squadron audiobooks, and just searching for Alexander Reed on Bluesky reminded me to pre-order the Reign of the Empire audiobook, too!

"Kept in check by the legislative branch" you say? Still waiting on that, buddy...

"An official government website" that is basically just a twitter page....
February 12, 2025 at 8:46 PM
If that is how you want to interpret my comment, go for it. It is either a matter of me doing a poor job of conveying my sentiments (which is entirely possible, I am terrible with words), or it is coming off how you want it to.

Either way, hope you enjoy the rest of your day.

Just brining attention to the concerning shift in all demographics, primarily amongst men and those who are not college educated. And how relatively large the shift was, even for a demographic that otherwise voted solidly against Trump.

It is important to try to ask "why did this happen?"
February 10, 2025 at 4:20 PM
I'm not trying to say that black stragglers are to blame, but that the general shift (although a smaller percentage of the whole vote), is worrisome.

Absolutely everyone is to blame. The fact that any demographic can have a shift (and they pretty much all did) after 2020, is astonishing.
