I think (for the best), Sans’ interaction with the plot and story-development will be limited to the light world and to develops on his own relationships.

I could be wrong, but I doubt he will be involved with unfolding the mystery of Dess, the Bunker, or even (controversially) Gaster.

And in terms of Chapter 5, it is unlikely that he will play a role as a character in Asgore’s Darkworld.

That’s not to say he won’t have ANY interaction with Asgore, but it’s very unlikely that he’ll be a Gerson styled secret boss.

Now, this is not to say that Sans will not have his story explored nor will he not affect the general light world story. He definitely will, and Toby has shown that.

BUT he is highly unlikely to have the same relevancy as Gaster or Susie to the movement of the story

While Soviet Union no longer exists today and, for decades before its fall, the original revolutionary principles of the Soviets deteriorated, there is still much to learn and appreciate about the dream of the Bolsheviks from Lenin to Bukharin to Trotsky to Bogdanov to beyond.
