Combined with the loss of forums to places like discord which will never appear in search results, there is so much work and thinking and content and just useful human output that has or will be effectively buried and hidden from all but the few who might know where to look.

It's tragic.

Even when we have archives of information, thanks to places like @archive.org, if no one can find all this information, it's still a huge loss. I know there are websites I could be relying on for research right now, but I have no way of finding them.

I was only able to find it again by looking through my browser history and then viewing the page with Internet Archive's Wayback Machine (please donate). If I hadn't found the site before I may never have seen it at all.

One thing I notice about all these examples is that there's very little contrast. Everything is extremely saturated but looks completely flat because there's no tonal variation. Like everything is lit from everywhere at once.

Modern mainstream news is only capable of reporting what other people say, not what's actually true. Journalism is no longer about determining facts and reporting them. It's about presenting everyone's position as equally valid.
