Tesla hints at a lot of things. I remember when they "hinted" that my HW3 Model 3 could drive coast to coast fully autonomously.

This. Take advantage of the badly run companies letting good people go. A lot of companies that are going “all in on AI generated code” are going to find themselves uncompetitive in the future.

Don't worry @cultmtl.com , I'm sure there's another Marvel movie with a simpler plot and lots of superheroes and explosions and less "featherweight CGI" (whatever that means) coming any second now.

We made all the special effects in art class, and I had strong directorial opinions about adding a totally non-sensical roll that was purely designed to get the pretty girl in class involved. We even had a "death scene" on a flight of stairs.

Ahh, the 90s.

Oh, it has it's fans alright. :) In the 5th grade, using a VHS camera from the AV room and my entire class as accomplices, I made a 'film' about terrorists taking over our school that was pretty obviously just Toy Soldiers with grade schoolers.

Another reminder that TSLA is a meme stock.
November 8, 2025 at 5:25 PM
So they’re now hyping AI and consumer owned robots?

Too bad the evidence suggests neither business has any real market demand.

AI is just the new VR; a “cool” tech that gives good demo with no business case that people keep throwing money at until they find something new to pivot away to.
November 7, 2025 at 10:14 PM
This is pure speculation based on zero facts and is purely rooted in “what if”. I wouldn’t invest a dime on this.
November 7, 2025 at 10:06 PM
Same point. Why would they know? Could have predicted Apple would be in the spaceship business. It’s all just bubble hype. Zero credibility.
November 7, 2025 at 10:04 PM
This is exceedingly far fetched. Why Apple? Why would Microsoft have any idea what Apple is doing by 2040? Microsoft doesn't know what Microsoft is doing.
November 7, 2025 at 9:14 PM
On one hand, the AI bubble is about to pop and Musk has spent years now claiming Tesla is an AI/Robotics company (it's not) as opposed to a vehicle and energy company (it s).

On the other hand, TSLA has been a meme stock a lot longer than the AI bubble has existed, so who knows what will happen.

It’s fun how Rogers goes out of their way to not mention that this service actually SpaceX.

Sure it he’d need to sell 13M of them to make his first tranche requirement.

That’s almost 2X the vehicles Tesla has sold in its entire existence.

He can’t make or sell enough vehicles to dodgy purchasers to make up the numbers.
November 7, 2025 at 2:52 AM
To be fair if you look at the milestones he has to hit they’re effectively impossible. He has to propel Tesla to 20M vehicle sales just to hit tranche 1. That’s more than double their lifetime sales.

He’ll likely never see a dime of this unless as things stand.
November 6, 2025 at 11:56 PM
The other way to look at this is that the objectives Musk needs to achieve in order to earn that money are so impossible he's effectively out as the CEO soon.

Of course, that assumes Robyn Denholm and the board do their jobs.

So yeah... RIP Tesla, I guess.

Elon says a lot of things.

This is both a massively deep cut and a thermonuclear level burn all wrapped into one fantastic Bluesky post.
November 6, 2025 at 2:55 AM
I think Toyota very much deserves a "put up or shut up" attitude on this, don't they?

They have a long history of announcing speculative future technology with no track record of delivering it for no reason other than to slow down electrification.

When I can buy it, it's real. Not a minute sooner.
