They've failed miserably and remaining to lend legitimacy to the right wing Labour project may be good for staying in a job but it's worthless for anything else. There's no redeeming that husk.

And nothing of value was lost that day.

You really don't know what they believed then. They certainly weren't anti-tech.

This tech isn't particularly cool and it's not about being anti-tech anyway. It's about understanding the context and effects of it, as well as the practical capacities, and judging that. LLMs are a trash technology.

I don't think you know what the Luddites believed.

I can think of nothing less rewarding.

Every expert and authority may agree on it, as well as the abundant evidence we can all see on rolling coverage but *you* don't agree and that's enough. Very comforting way to dismiss slaughter.

Both sidesing a genocide is certainty a choice.

Who are these common enemies?
October 24, 2025 at 5:24 PM
No, it doesn't push Labour voters right, it just loses them. 'Agents like me'? As in a voter who doesn't like what Labour does and so won't vote for them? No doubt if you keep blaming us loudly and long enough we'll fall into line.

target audience is almost never going to be anyone who has the easy option to critically appraise it. And if you're one of those who can do that then be aware of your luck while looking for ways to reach those more easily sold on the AI 'friend' grift.

better but it's hardly novel to point out that power reinforces itself through propaganda, which these young men are absolutely subject to even if it rests on top of their wider privilege.
October 22, 2025 at 12:16 PM
I'm not sure how that relates the question of gullibility? Patriarchal power structures are reliant on cultural and social reinforcement and adherence. Both of which are massively enforced by the culture industry and economic system. Doesn't mean that there isn't a/shouldn't be a capacity for

And how's the polling looking on that one..? Labour have gone from comfortable election win to apparent collapse by using the exact tactic of shifting rightwards you seem enamoured with.
October 22, 2025 at 10:54 AM
I'm not sure your judgement counts for much when you clearly have zero understanding of the field, policies or Labours approach to them. As to the RW media bit... that's really not where my criticisms are coming from.
October 22, 2025 at 10:52 AM
Almost as if imitating the Right, or more likely simply being on the Right ideologically, isn't a way to compete with them.
October 22, 2025 at 10:46 AM
If the fix to that problem, as questionable as it is in the first place, is to increasingly pander to the Right then we have one anyway. As to the AI issue, if you don't know their policies around that then I'm not sure why you're so certain they're doing well.
October 22, 2025 at 10:45 AM
Because an entire social, cultural and economic system pushes them to be?
