Our roots run deeper than their walls.
Our voices rise higher than their barriers.
Our unity is stronger than their division.
From edges of the gathered crowd
I watch joy bloom, warm and loud,
And yearn to join the vibrant scene,
Though held back by what's unseen.
Not distance born of wanting space,
But time to find my natural grace,
Until the moment feels just right
To step into the shared delight.

Gotta love when the library notifies you that your book is available for pick up.

Now hitting the train home.

My hair's a mess, my eyes are bright,
My spirit's chaos, but that's alright—
Some say I'm small and kind of frazzled,
But darling, I'm just bedazzled!

Reminder to self: “It is very easy to run down a hill. It takes courage, sweat, and effort to climb up a hill.” Gist… it’s very easy to do things that bring us down - it takes effort and a lot of hard work to bring us up in life.

"Oh, there ain't no rest for the wicked
Money don't grow on trees
I got bills to pay
I got mouths to feed
There ain't nothing in this world for free
I know I can't slow down
I can't hold back
Though you know
I wish I could
Oh, no there ain't no rest for the wicked
Until we close our eyes for good"

A poem by Sara Teasdale. Came to mind when I was composting my last fall blooms.
