Second DNF of the year. Kind of bummed because I was really looking forward to reading this. I think it’s time to put anything and everything medieval to the side and focus on something else.

Reading a book on the Byzantine Empire and the author is talking about #christianity and the Christian response to Julian the Apostate’s promotion of Hellenism, defunding churches, and advocating tolerance and nothing’s changed in ~1700 years. Especially regarding conservative Christianity in the US

Book #2 of the year is done. It was interesting but a lot of it went over my head. 😅 Putting this in my “unlikely to pursue” category.

My goal this year is to read more books in the hope that something peaks enough of an interest that I can use it as a starting point for a masters thesis (hopefully next year???). After about 6 months of not being able to read any book in its entirety, I finished this one today. 🙌
