Today is my last day. Even though Ive have posted many recipes from Cookbook; the best recipes are often found in little metal tins like for flour or cookies.
Recipe for today is Potato Candy; first time I made this turned out perfectly.
This batch didn't turn out good, but still tasted delicious.

Tomorrow is our last recipe, this has been a heck of a journey with a few hiccups.

So today I wanted to find a somewhat fancy recipe to celebrate, and I discovered Grilled Aubergine Parcels or grilled eggplant parcels. I could see myself making this for a little get together.

Todays recipes is a classic cake we mostly have all had at one point,but most likely in its boxed cake form.
This recipe here is a genuine Devil's Food Cake from the Prairie Kitchen Sampler.
Now in the recipe calls for a fudge frosting,so I included the two recipes that are in the book plus a bonus

Yesterday we were talking about Apples , and today's recipe also using them in Bar formed.

I almost forgot to post a recipe this evening.
Today's recipe is a healthy option, a lovely Apple-Sweet Sweet Potatoes.
If I had the unsweetened apple juice; I would have tried making it.
Hopefully I'll remember it come my next shopping trip.

Also a pleasant surprise, I had dried some honeysuckle flowers in this book.

Todays recipe comes from "The Blue Willow Inn, Bible of Southern Cooking.
I was gifted this book awhile back, and I love cookbooks that have little notes or check marks on certain recipes.
That way you already know the recipe is a hit before you try it.

First recipe is from a gifted binder called Kitchen Secrets with recipes written from a typewriter.

Today recipes is early, because its a breakfast related called Breakfast on the Run by The Great North American Cookbook.
I love this recipe for two reasons:
1. A nice way to use leftover rice.
2. The recipes gives you ingredients combinations so you can mix things up.

Growing up, I wasn't a fan of coconut;nowadays I like it in the right sweets.
My third cousin would make delicious coconut cake with fresh coconut for my paw paw for Christmas

I love hush puppies, my favorite fast food passed back in the day was Long John Silvers. They have the best hush puppies, and I've been trying to find a good replacement for them.

I love ketchup, and I'm going be trying to make some from my garden this year.

Today's recipe is from Leone's Italian cookbook from 1967.
First time I had a cannoli was from this little Italian place, that makes the best deep dish pizza. Since then I have loved them, and I hope with this recipe and a lot of patience.

Todays recipe is from New American Cookbook from im guessing 1963.
This book I can spend hours going through it, and I did.
When it starts to warm up; I'm definitely going to try this, maybe add cooked & crushed pie crust to make it pumpkin pie ice cream.
