Clean up & repairs still underway this morning after a CN train derailment yesterday in Barriere. The District’s mayor states CN acted fast yesterday, while Barriere FD also attended & determined there was no hazmat situation. More on @cfjctoday.bsky.social

In light of recent news about Hudson's Bay filing for creditor protection and potentially restructuring, I went up to the #Kamloops Bay location to use a gift card. Points program paused, watch repair station closed, and there were a lot of items on sale.

New: Sun Peaks Resort says missing skier, Thomasz Jaholkowski appeared to be skiing alone. Cameras show him in line at West Bowl Chairlift Tuesday around 11:35 a.m. After that, his ski pass wasn't scanned at any other chairlifts that day. More tonight at 5 @cfjctoday.bsky.social

Should alleviate some of the pressure that the existing UPCC along Columbia Street, and RIH emergency department are under. IH says once it is fully operational, it is expected that the clinic will provide nearly 85,000 patient visits annually. #Kamloops

CUPW Local 758 members still on picket lines in #Kamloops. Canada Post & the union continued talks today with a mediator but no agreement has been made yet. Specific social benefit cheques will be delivered this week, but all other mail is in a holding pattern. @cfjctoday.bsky.social

Well someone has good quality surveillance cameras. Normally, the suspect photos newsrooms are provided aren't this clear.
