Voice of America/Radio Free Europe was the soundtrack of my childhood, the sound of security. The big radio sat on a low table in the far corner of my parents bedroom. They came to Redstone Arsenal in the early 1950’s, to work on the Redstone Rocket, educated by his GI Bill. I miss that sound.
