You don’t have to be a humanist or care about people or even value America (the big guy don’t!) to know the collapse of a global superpower promises the end of comfort and influence for even the elite.

… the collapse and blastwave will very obviously have global repercussions. People will die. They already are dying. Not by direct physical warfare within our borders, necessarily, but in the collapse of institutions.
