What do you call a half-blind dinosaur?
The xplat thing is fantastic for mobile dev, a few years back I had to spend some time building xamarin apps for iOS and Android, so being able to use Rider on Mac to build both was a major time saver

Can confirm. I put Visual Studio down years ago and never went back. Rider has stuff that was never offered in VS, and then only became "experimental" later.

So when do they start on the legal tobacco stores?

These ones only exist coz the legal smokes cost too much.

Can't ban legal smokes tho, because... Remind me why?

I loved mobile development, and it did serve me well, but X/M was a lot of work on TOP of actually just coding and building the apps. Keeping everything up to date, ui breakages and big changes every time there was an OS update on a platform, having to support multiple OS versions... 😬

I moved onto other things a couple years back, but even the hot reload we'd been begging for, for *years* was still flaky af back then. In the end it's like the product couldn't get out of its own way.

I built commercial and got apps with it and Xamarin for about 12 years. The concept was great, but the tooling and libraries were always breaking, and if you were doing anything complex, esp. with Bluetooth or other h/w, something was always broken or inconsistent between iOS and Android.

It's not my first go-to, but I do find it useful if I have to override something not available (maybe a private ctor or something). Also useful in architectural convention tests, like ensuring certain things always inherit from something else, or should implement an interface.
