I had a Nokia in the "design form" of a Blackberry, that was brilliant. I quickly adapted to the tiny physical keyboard, it was a joy to use ... but it was 3G. *sigh*

Maybe I haven't been paying much attention to it ... but it seems to me the island has been called K'gari for many, many years ... what the hell do they expect to achieve now? I suspect the "massive support" has been from a very selective survey.

I think your insistence on "correct time-keeping" is ignorant. If a paying passenger is "late" back to the boat, the crew should be aware and caring enough to wonder why and go and look! STFU! 🤬

I commented to @sandyhorne.bsky.social just yesterday, I think that a lot of "hybrid vehicle" sales rode on the back of "range anxiety". If you consider "company cars" (as someone here has already said) are they being paid for electricity used to recharge? Everyone knows company cars run forever...

2/ "long trips" are to nearby beaches about 40km away. I charge it at home, I don't use the super chargers scattered about the place. I should probably look into where they are situated ... but I'm not holidaying anytime soon. 🙄

I think Hybrids have been sold on the back of "range anxiety". I have an electric vehicle (BEV) that I bought 2.5 years ago. It is the base model and as a consequence only has a range when fully charged of 270km. It works fine because my driving is almost exclusively around town, the only ... 2/

I just clicked on the icon for my local rain radar (Gladstone covers Rockhampton) and got a new blank page. Followed the prompts to go to the new radar page ... and ended up at the same blank page. They wanted feedback, and they got it: Was this page useful - No, It's Blank!
