is one of my favourite actors, brilliant in pretty much everything he does. His Jackson Lamb is a tour de force, by turns, vile, disgusting, incisive, hilarious, one of the best characters on TV this decade. I wouldn’t want to meet his mac though. Can’t wait to see him on stage in May.

I’m glad those mentioned in the article have had a good experience of commonhold. My own experience was exactly the opposite, because of certain individuals who saw the management of the flats as their personal fiefdom. I would never, ever buy another flat under such a system.

I always switched off Radio 2 the moment Vine’s programme started. I even hated the preview Ken allowed him to have 30mins before. Listening to him (and the callers who rang in) was no good for my blood pressure whilst I was driving. The awful callers continued even when he was on a break!

Indeed. Those beacons of moderation and enlightenment, the Taliban, have shown a shining example of how to improve the lot of Afghanis since they resumed power. Nothing could possibly be worse than Assad though, could it? Could it?

That’s proper tea worth drinking. Apart from that, I stick to coffee, also usually black. Not instant, of course.
