I spent 6 years making a leftist inspired expansion to 5e D&D that introduced Martial Casters, and released it just in time for 6th edition to be out. Buy it anyway: https://www.drivethrurpg.com/en/product/501247/mortality-ascendant

Not enough room in profile, but I want it to be readily accessible information. All of the art I'm going to post on here was made by either Sabri Houchati (Banner, sabrihouchda41.myportfolio.com ) or Luccas Olivart (Profile, artstation.com/luccasolivart ) for my D&D book Mortality Ascendant.
I didn't think we (the #D&D community) could be any more cooked in regards to the "official" game, but as always reality reveals that we truly live in the darkest timeline. Luckily I haven't cared about what Wizards has to say about D&D since Xanathar's guide to everything. #ttrpg

Me: Hey can you do your dishes
My roommate The Buddha: Perhaps your problem is not my dishes but your attachment to a clean sink
Me: Alright man

On one hand, Mortality Ascendent is "leftist inspired" because it contains themes of distributing power, toppling hierarchies, and celebrating diversity. On the other hand, it has art like this where one of the main classes splash art doubles as a trans pride flag XD

The bulk of early armories were born from indigenous societies. Primarily, those that lived near draconic lairs. They utilized tools made to raid dragon hoards, now elevated through soul magic. They were well prepared to fight greedy monsters, when the march of empires came.

What caused the first cracks in divine law remains a mystery, and yet, whenever it is being discussed, Serrelliis name is always mentioned. Details on Serrelli are sparse: a revolution, a destiny defied, a pact, a rebellion, a betrayal, and a sacrifice. Shards of some echoed truth, now lost.

With Divinity fading came the rise of a more untamed nature. The kind of nature that laughs at the idea of "balance" between itself and civilization. Those most connected to wild forces found themselves indulging in these more extreme expressions, their power no longer bound by the gods' design.

One day, someone might even read my book.

The front lines were the first to rise as veterans, soldiers of empires and those of the would be conquered. After having their lives thrown away so callously, many marched in concert with their once enemy, united against the common foe that first slew them.

I've gotten some feedback on the way I posted the art through the first week. In future, in addition to alt text, I'll use the book's background in place of full transparency, since the default "transparent" background is black bsky (at least for me). Here are the first week's reposts! #Mortalitaent

I've been posting art with short fiction on here for about a week and just now figured out the "alt text" function. From now on, I'll be putting the credits for the art there instead of in the post to free up some character count.

In the early days, access to martial magic was rare. The most successful methods used tools and material to channel the techniques. Traditions that evolved from this became collectively known as armories.

Those most preyed upon by society found ways to wield their soul's power to survive traumatic circumstances. Some held onto those moments, learning to wield their scars as weapons of vengeance and survival.

Before the shift, those that would be virtuosos were mere oddities, skilled duelists whose talents lent no real power. In the new world, they could transcend the boundary between themselves and magic itself.

At the edges of empires, soldiers fighting died in countless droves. As the veil weakened, some returned from the edge of oblivion, their body and spirit in perfect resonance, and mere pawns no longer.

When soul magic first emerged, peerless were some of the first to find it. Born from the same training grounds as paladins, they learned to wield faith in themselves as their fellows wield faith in a cause.

First post to feed the algorithm. Just released a book that is technically about Martial Casters, but is secretly about sword lesbians killing god. Check it out: www.drivethrurpg.com/en/product/5...
