Please also refuse any legislation that undermines judicial independence or enables executive officials to evade accountability. Our constitution is under assault by illegal and unconstitutional executive orders and by Trump's refusal to comply with court decisions. Trump's defiance of the Supreme Court and the irregular arrest of a Wisconsin judge should alarm every American. You swore to defend the constitution: I expect you to defend its underlying principles as well as every sentence, every article, every amendment. Congress has already allowed Trump and Musk to usurp constitutionally enshrined powers of appropriation and tariffs. Do not allow this dangerous rot to spread to the judicial branch. Stop this degradation now please. Maintain the separation of powers and independence of the judiciary. Please also take the measures available to Congress to force Trump to comply with court decisions.
