As private business retirement plans have been fading in favor of 401k plans and the like, so should members of government be required to plan for their own retirement.

If they do by only a few degrees I consider the point moot. I might consider it more important if the US temperatures used Celsius as the degree points are larger. Then we would have something real to quibble about. 😏

As I'm sure other couples do, my wife and I are always quibbling over a few degrees F one direction or another. She always asks Alexa what the temp is. I check the thermometer I mounted outside a window on the shaded side of the house. Of course, they never match, but...

Congress has become increasingly toothless. The balance that was supposed to be ensured with 3 branches of government can only work when honest, ethical effective people are elected to govern in the people's best interest.
Politics should be used to define and categorize, not drive cultish behavior.

It seems that a preemptive strike might be in order to pull us back from the brink. By that I mean an all-out prosecution of impeachment.

Although, I expect @scalzi.com would likely be overwhelmed by a border collie, let alone four goats. I understand that the breed (collie, not goats) is pretty intense, and John seems rather chill.
