My response to an apologist comment on an extremely problematic post was erased twice. Twice I was told that my fight for my dignity, autonomy, freedom, and safety aren’t valid enough. Twice I was told that his understanding of my religion takes precedence over mine. Twice I was erased.

#AhmadBaldi just passed away. There's a video of him setting himself on fire and being dragged to get arrested by the officers afterwards. I don't have the heart to watch it again and to post it. It's too painful. His blood is on the Regime's hands.

We face real threats when we try to criticize Islam or change its misogynistic, homophobic, antisemitic, violent, 7th century ways to something less gender apartheid or colonized. Being told 'Islam isn't the problem' is like spitting in our faces.
